olio Literary Management, LLC is a full-service literary management company dedicated to providing a comprehensive set of services to authors. Like other literary agencies, we’re focused on selling the domestic and subsidiary rights to our clients’ books. But unlike most other agencies, we don’t consider our job done when a client’s book hits the shelves. At Folio, we recognize that’s just the start. In addition to the traditional role of literary agents, we work closely with all of our clients to develop their platforms, writing, and credentials, and to assist them in extracting the most value possible from their intellectual property.

With hundreds of thousands of books published around the world every year, the task of marketing and promotion increasingly falls on the shoulders of the authors themselves. In many cases, however, writers aren’t comfortable marketing themselves and their own work.

That’s where we step in.

Folio picks up where major publishers leave off. We provide regional and local publicity that can dramatically expand an author’s profile and increase sales. We serve as a full-service speakers’ bureau, finding venues and audiences for our authors of both fiction and non-fiction. And we serve as licensing agents, finding new and innovative ways to leverage our clients’ work and develop new income streams—all while maintaining the integrity of their original artistic vision. And that’s just the beginning.

Our job is to take authors’ careers to the next level—by finding new projects or new audiences, expanding into new genres, or simply by achieving the level of sales and recognition that will allow them to achieve whatever their goals may be—whether writing full-time, or adding a print component to their other business ventures.

We invite you to explore our website (now under construction) in the upcoming weeks to learn more about us, our authors, and our vision.
